Dr. Sonya
Mazlyer
Dr. Sonya Mazlyer is an experienced general dentist who is all about creating a calm, supportive space that supports patients in feeling heard, cared for, and confident. Born in Ukraine and raised in New York, she brings a warm, multicultural perspective to her care—and yes, she speaks Russian, too!
During her education at NYU College of Dentistry, Dr. Mazlyer served as President of the Women in Dentistry Club, where she had a focus on promoting inclusion and diversity. She also participated in the Special Patient Care honors program at NYU’s Oral Health Center for People with Disabilities, providing compassionate care to patients with complex medical and developmental needs.
Dr. Sonya further advanced her clinical training through a General Practice Residency at Northwell Health, where she treated a high volume of patients and gained comprehensive experience in:
- Restorative dental treatments
- Surgical dentistry
- Endodontic dental care
- Emergency dentistry
When she’s not in the office, Dr. Mazlyer is chasing her toddler around the city, sweating it out at Orangetheory or Pilates, and hunting down the best hidden food spots in NYC.
