I met Dr Alterman Chelsea NYC, when I started residency at Lutheran and I was immediately drawn to her. She taught me a lot about patient management and surgery. We’ve been working together ever since and I stayed for a second year to train specifically with her for more surgery experience and to get a little bit better rounded with dentistry.
You can be a good dentist and do good clinical work but not necessarily be good with patients or be good with people, and I think that she does both. I think it’s a combination of her teaching style and her personality.
When I work with Dr Alterman, I expect to have a very good day; I expect to learn something; I expect to do something I haven’t done before or do something I’ve done before, in a way I haven’t thought about before.
With me, I’d like to stay in NY where everything is happening. I’d like to pursue dentistry in a broad perspective – including, and being able to offer, Oral Surgery NYC and Smile Design NYC – which is what she’s taught me to do. Having learnt this from someone whom I consider to be a top Oral Surgeon NYC, fills me with confidence. I envision working with Dr Alterman for many years to come.
She’s built something here that allows patients to come in, feel welcome, feel comfortable but also receive the best dental care.
